Nothing…..

Can nothing exist? I’ve checked Wikipedia and it defines it as

Nothing is the lack or absence of anything. "Nothing"
and "zero" are closely related but not identical concepts. The term
"nothing" is rarely used mathematically, though it could be said that a
set contains nothing if and only if it is the empty set, in which case
its cardinality (or size) is zero.

I find this very contradictory. I used to define nothing as "something that does not exist". How  can nothing be something then? I find this weird because many people answer questions with the word "nothing". What are you doing? nothing…..
How can that person do nothing if he is constantly doing something? An obvious example is that he is breathing. To simplify it, I ask, "How can inexistence exist?".  A professor (was it Hawkings?) stated that the universe is a  bubble floating in nothing. How can it float in inexistence?

I will not edit my writings; through this, I can see my thoughts in its rawest form in the future. I can see how I think in this present time.
